DIFFUSOR SCATTERING VIDEOS
Jocavi’s pioneering method to reveal the scattering patterns of its diffusers
Experience the unique acoustic
simulation formula with this proprietary
ray tracing method from JOCAVI™.
These captivating videos reveal the
intricate path of sound waves as they
impact and come into contact with our
advanced acoustic panels, meticulously
consider the density of your raw
material and the shape of each model.
This simulation, conducted in an open
field, provides a holistic understanding
of the sound behaviour of this type of
acoustic piece.
The blue particles represent the direct
emissions from the sound source for the
frequencies of (500Hz to 5000Hz) with a
coaxial cone-shaped dispersion of 12.5º
To improve viewing and understanding,
the video is intentionally slowed down to
2.48 times slower than in real-time,
offering a detailed examination of sound
movement. Maintaining a distance of 1.80
cm between the sound source and the
acoustic panel, this simulation investigates
the subtle interaction between sound
waves and surfaces, revealing the
intellectual property of JOCAVI Acoustic
Panels.
This ray tracing method marks a significant
leap forward in understanding sound
dynamics. It was created by Jocavi in 2008,
although it was only revealed and made
public in 2013 with the presentation of the
first videos. This was a pioneering Jocavi
